Ingredients
    Ingredients
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 3/4 cups Sugar
  • 1 Egg (room temperature)
  • 2 teaspoons Anise Extract
  • 2 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk (or as needed)
  • 1 cup Sesame Seeds
Instructions
    Method
  1. Put the oven on 350 degrees F.

  2. In a big bowl, mix together the butter and sugar. Add in the egg and anise extract. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. If you have a mixer with a dough hook, let it mix some more so it will be light on your hand when you roll it out to make cookies.

  3. Take small pieces of dough and roll them into logs. After that, dip the dough in milk and then roll it in sesame seeds. Then put cookies on a cookie sheet spaced out at least one inch apart from each other. Cookies will not spread very much this way.

  4. Bake for 17 to 20 minutes in a preheated oven. Remove from the cookie sheet and place on a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
