This recipe is rich in protein and vitamins as it contains green peas, coconut, and vegetables of our choice. In india we make sundal which is a form of salad (as they say now). Pattani sundal recipe is good for health and can be taken as side dish for rice or eaten as it is when on diet.

  • Green peas fresh or dried
  • 1/2 Coconut (grated)
  • 1 Potato (boiled)
  • 1 cup Carrot, cabbage, capsicum (mixed and finely chopped)
  • Salt and Pepper Powder or Red Chilli Powder (either pepper powder or red chilli powder)

    Method
  1. Cook peas in pressure cooker until tender.

  2. Heat little oil in kadai. Add mustard seeds, add chopped vegetables and fry for some time, add potato cooked peas. Add salt and red chili/pepper powder to taste and mix well.

  3. Add grated coconut mix well. Nutritious healthy pattani sundal is ready to serve hot.

  4. Variation tips: Grated mango, peanut powder, onion, tomato also can be added.
