  1. In a kadhai, heat butter and saute onion, garlic, and bay leaf. 

  2. Add tomatoes, carrots, and salt. Saute for a minute or until the tomatoes change color. 

  3. Add water to cover vegetables, then bring to a boil for 10 minutes.

  4. Boil the tomatoes until they are soft and mushy.

  5. Remove the bay leaf when they are done.

  6. Blend them into a smooth paste without adding any water.

  7. Then sieve the tomato paste to get rid of the residue in it.

  8. You can add half a cup of water or more to make the soup thinner. 

  9. Then, make the soup boil and add one teaspoon of sugar, one-half teaspoon of pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. 

  10. Mix well, making sure that all the spices are mixed in. 

  11. Turn off the flame and add two tablespoons of cream. Mix well

  12. Finally, you should serve the soup with cream and a mint leaf.
